Abstract

"Politics & Other Mistakes" piece on referendum Question One and the state's congressional delegation. U.S. represenative James B. Longley Jr. is the only one to make any effort to lend support to opponents of the measure, which would limit the classes protected under Maine's human rights laws. With a piece on state representative John Martin, rumored to be a candidate for a diplomatic post in Haiti.
