Abstract

Mercy Hospital is looking at demolishing several properties on Winter Street to create a new parking lot with 75-85 spaces. Changes in the delivery of health care, including more inpatient care and fewer overnight stays, have resulted in a parking crunch at Mercy. The facility considered a parking garage, but construction would have put many of the hospital's 150 current spots out of commission for too long.
