Abstract

A total of 62 deer were taken on Cushing Island and the two Diamonds during the December 6-13 special hunt. A biologist with the state Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife said that none of the deer were starved, which means the city probably won't have to hold a deer hunt on the islands next year.
