Abstract

"Politics & Other Mistakes" piece on the state's decision to switch to software from Lotus Corp., and Gov. King's appearance in a Lotus print advertisement. The switch to Lotus software is supposed to save $2 million over the next decade, but some departments will have to spend extra money to make the software work. Gov. King and most of his staff are still using Microsoft programs, and will switch to Lotus when the office buys new computers. With a piece on Republican state chairman Kevin Keogh.
