Abstract

Keith Citrine, director of the Deering Oaks Festival, has hired Dr. Richard Campana of the University of Maine at Orono's College of Forestry to independently determine if the festival is detrimental to Deering Oaks. Citrine is concerned that the Deering Oaks Master Plan committee will ban the festival from the park, and wanted to double-check the findings of consultants hired by the city.
