Abstract

Although the Portland newspapers will only review art shows in galleries, Portland's ever-growing legion of artists is often forced to display its wares in bookstores, lobbies, and coffee shops like Coffee By Design. Often the only attendees are orther artists and friends. Related "Talk" interview with artist and skateboarder Richard Garrigus, who says skaters are becoming more aggressive.
