Abstract

Nicholas and Lola Kampf, owners of the State Theatre in Portland, have filed suit in Cumberland County Superior Court against Casco Bay Weekly. The Kampfs allege CBW made damaging and defamatory remarks about them and the theater in a September 18, 1997, article about the State. Sarah Goodyear, editor and publisher of CBW, is also named in the suit.
