Abstract

Portland Performing Arts, run by Phyllis O'Neill and Bau Graves, won the bid on the city-owned building at 181-183 State Street, and were given until March to close on the sale. O'Neill and Graves expect to complete the purchase early, saying they really want to move into the new building because of space problems at PPA's current offices. After closing on the building, they plan to kick off a capital campaign to raise the $500,000 needed for renovations.
