Abstract

"Edge" piece on composer Dennis Nye, 33, of Portland, who has forsaken the concert hall for experimental venues. Next year Nye is planning a site-specific piece played by a French horn quartet from rowboats in the Atlantic Ocean. He thrives on multimedia work, collaborating with artists, actors, and videographers, and is influenced by musicians as diverse as Husker Du and Wagner.
