Abstract

An article focusing on the many delays that have pushed forward the opening date of the Portland Public Market, originally set for July, and now planned for sometime in October. The 22 vendors are upset at losing the summer tourist business and some believe that Ted Spitzer's focus on details might have caused the delays. Vendors met with Spitzer, who is overseeing the project, and said they would open up on the first of October, regardless of the state of completion of the market.
