Abstract

"So Noted" piece criticizing Portland city officials and its nine representatives on the Regional Waste Systems (RWS) board for knowing little or nothing about a lawsuit filed by RWS against Central Maine Power in April 1998. CMP wants to pay less for power generated by the RWS incinerator. If that happens, the burden of replacing lost revenue will fall to taxpayers in the incinerator's 31 member communities.
