Abstract

"Politics and Other Mistakes" piece on an 8 cents per minute AT & T in-state phone rate advertised in "The Rate Watchers In-State Phone Guide," which is published by the state public advocate's office. According to the author, the advertised rate is, thus far, not available through any of the customer representatives he contacted. And complaints to the Maine public advocate's office, as well as AT & T's Northeast office in Boston and their regional media relations director in New York, have not helped.
