Abstract

"So Noted" piece on a low-cost housing project for the Bayside neighborhood proposed by Portland city councilor Karen Geraghty, chair of the city council's housing committee. The proposal calls for 30 units in buildings on a piece of land just over a half-acre in size. Geraghty wants a zoning change that would allow the amount of livable space in some apartments to be reduced from the current minimum of 600 square feet to just 400.
