Abstract

"City" piece on an announcement by University of Southern Maine (USM) president Richard Pattenaude that a position is being created to coordinate outreach and education programs in an effort to help prevent future hate crimes. The announcement comes in the wake of a week during which three antigay incidents occurred on USM's Gorham campus.
