Abstract

"City" piece on Paradise Lost, a "dungeon" whose owner hopes to offer sadomasochistic satisfaction to Portlanders. The Old Port business may be shut down before it opens because proprietor and dungeon master Stefan A. Blacart must get a change-of-use permit to operate a business at a residential address, and he might be required to obtain an adult entertainment license, which must be approved by the City Council.
