Abstract

"City" piece on write-in votes, which do not appear on the official results unless the candidate receives at least 5 percent of the vote. Mansour El alwi of North Yarmouth, who challenged incumbent Cumberland County commissioner Esther Clenott, and Ivan Suzman of Portland, who challenged incumbent state senator Joel Abromson, believe the votes they received should appear on the official results, even though El alwi and Suzman garnered 38 and 39 votes, respectively.
