Abstract

"City" piece calling on local officials to expedite the establishment of a civilian review board as proposed by Portland city councilor Tom Kane to investigate charges of police misconduct, and citing a complaint by a 23-year-old Portland woman who claims she was solicited while walking in Portland after dark by a man who appeared to be wearing a county sheriff's uniform. Cumberland County sheriff Mark Dion has determined that the license number of the van he was driving indicates the van is one used by the Hancock County Sheriff's Office.
