Abstract

Portland has appointed a new arts group, the Portland Public Arts Committee, for the purpose of jurying temporary and permanent art installations throughout the city, and is about to inaugurate a percent-for-art program similar to the state program. The installation "On Der Ground," by Portland sculptor Henry Wolyniec, is the first temporary art installation in the Downtown Arts District, and will be in place until July 31. Details.
