Abstract

Brief article on Paulette Roberge, owner of the now-defunct Whits End, a Portland bar. After 14 years at her 571 Congress Street address, Roberge withdrew her license renewal request due to mounting pressure from neighboring businesses, which initiated a petition to have the bar move its location.
