Abstract

"City" piece reporting that Dr. Marc Shinderman, the owner of the CAP Quality Care methadone clinic in Westbrook, cannot now practice medicine in Maine because his temporary license expired on August 9 and his permanent license has not yet been approved. According to a state official who does not wish to be identified, a written complaint from one of Shinderman's former patients to the Maine Board of Licensure has prompted the board to begin an investigation of the doctor. It is unclear whether other complaints have been lodged, and Shinderman has not returned messages left by Casco Bay Weekly.
