Abstract

State representative James Oliver will leave Maine in late January to become director of Peace Corps operations in Suriname and Guyana. Oliver's unexpired legislative term will be filled by a special election, to be held in late February or early March, and nominees for the election will be chosen by members of the Democratic city committee who live in Oliver's district.
