Abstract

The Maine Secretary of State's office announced last week that Concerned Maine Families' anti-gay rights referendum will appear on the November ballot. Carolyn Cosby, leader of CMF, said that if Gov. Angus King speaks out against the referendum it will be his downfall. King has said that he would sign a statewide gay rights bill if one is approved by the Legislature, and that he would campaign against the CMF referendum.
