Abstract

Carolyn Cosby of Portland and members of the group Concerned Maine Families will man the polling stations on November 2 to try and collect enough signatures to initiate a statewide referendum aimed at repealing anti-discrimination ordinances in Portland and Lewiston. Although Cosby's stance against gay-rights is shared by numerous conservatives statewide, few support her, and she has alienated many members of the Republican Party. Details.
