"Politics & Other Mistakes" piece on Carol Palesky, the president of the Maine Taxpayers Action Network, who this month filed for bankruptcy to prevent the town of Topsham and the local school district from collecting around $15,000 in legal fees. Palesky was recently stopped by police in Brunswick and Topsham for driving an unregistered vehicle, a 1995 Mercedes Benz , that she claimed belongs to the nonprofit organization Limits.
