Abstract

Earle Sanborn, proprieter of the Give and Take Shop on Oak Street in Portland, says God caused the ceiling in the State Theatre to collapse on May 16. Sanborne rents from Nick Kampf, owner of the State, and Kampf removed a religious sign from Sanborne's store window without Sanborne's permission. That night, the ceiling collapsed at the State, injuring four people.
