Abstract

Editorial on the lack of a recycling program for aseptic juice boxes. The boxes were banned in Maine in 1989, but the ban was repealed in September 1994 amid industry assurances that it would establish juice box recycling programs and educate the public about recycling efforts. The nearest place to Portland to have the boxes recycled is Topsham.
