Abstract

People in Edgecomb know it's summertime when Arthur Cyr puts out a hundred or so old wrought-iron beds on the lawn of Cape Cove Antiques on Route One. The bedsteads, which sell for $300 to $695, have become a celebrated local landmark. Cyr began collecting the beds twenty years ago when there was a plentiful supply inland. Most were manufactured from about 1910 to 1920, and there are thousands of different styles.
