Abstract

"Down East Bookshelf" piece with a review of "Dark Harbor: Building House and Home on an Enchanted Island," by Ved Mehta, a blind staff writer for The New Yorker magazine. He built a house on Islesboro with the help of architect Ed Barnes and Barnes' wife, Mary, who are summer residents of Somesville.
