Abstract

"North by East" piece reporting that Maine has 600 more miles of coastline than previously thought. Researchers at the College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, using a computerized mapping system that uses satellite photos and the global positioning system now put the new length of the coast at 5,500 miles.
