Abstract

Profile of CR Lawn, founder of Waterville-based Fedco Seeds. He first organized the company in 1978 as a project of the now-defunct Maine Federation of Cooperatives. He moved to different markets to survive when the co-op federation and an accompanying food warehouse folded in the 1980s. Sales have grown at 10 to 20 percent a year for more than five years.
