Abstract

"Along the Waterfront" piece on how the diversification of product line to include power boats has helped the Hinckley Company of Southwest Harbor, Sabre Yachts of South Casco, Able Marine Trenton, and Lyman-Morse Boat Building in Thomaston overcome the devastating dual impact of recession and luxury tax on yachts in the late 1980s and 1990s.
