Abstract

"Making It In Maine," piece on Rick Charette, 48, the North Windham-based songwriter-performer who has gained a national following among the under-ten crowd. A Westbrook native, he bought his first guitar with earnings from his paper route. He worked for five years as an elementary-school music teacher in the Waterboro area and released his first album in 1983. He has made eight albums and two videos.
