Abstract

"Dining Down East" piece on Portland's Cafe Stroudwater, a highly rated restaurant incongruously located at the Embassy Suites Hotel next to the Portland International Jetport. Executive Sous-chef Chris Gordon, 29, a native of southern Maine, and Executive Chef Bill Boutwell, 27, a native of New Hampshire, have dramatically upgraded the typical hotel dining experience. With a description of the Sunday brunch and comments by regulars who patronize the restaurant.
