Abstract

"The Talk of Bath" piece on Rogers Hardware in Bath, profiling owners John and Gayle Hichborn. The successful, small-town hardware store is run on the principle that service sells, and the knowledgeable staff of thirty takes personal care of customers. The store has grown steadily from the days when Calvin White Rogers, Gayle Hichborn's great-grandfather, opened a small storefront stove shop in downtown Bath back in the 1880's.
