Profile of Bill Ludwig, 60, of Scarborough, owner of Portland's Gateway Mastering Studio. He has mastered the works of performers like Bruce Springsteen, Janice Joplin, and the Rolling Stones; won numerous awards; and is arguably the finest mastering engineer in the country.
