Abstract

"The Talk of Maine" piece with a profile of Jim Delamater, president and CEO of the Lewiston-based Northeast Bank, formerly Bethel Savings Bank. Delamater believes in serving the people who invest in his bank. He educates employees to make policy exceptions when necessary to support the communities served by the bank in good times and bad. His employee handbook became so popular it was turned into a book entitled "The Great American Mismatch."
