Abstract

A detailed look at the Maine lobster's journey from trap to table, by way of lobsterman Kurt Denholm of York and his lobstering procedures; the ancillary businesses that support the industry; Seaview Lobster Company in Kittery, which sells salted herring to lobstermen for bait and ships truckloads of lobsters to Boston's Logan Airport; and Maine's lobster trade, which supplies lobsters for the Port of Los Angeles Lobster Festival in September, for Italian tables at Christmas, and points in-between.
