Abstract

"Inside Maine" dining piece on the Horn of Plenty restaurant in Island Falls in Aroostook County. Chef Bill Roderick and his wife Nancy Levin, Rhode Island transplants, opened the restaurant in 1993. Many locals have become regulars. Others come from as far away as Bangor to sample their palate-pleasing and reasonably-priced creations. With brief notes on the closing of the 72-year-old Village Cafe on Munjoy Hill in Portland and the Portland foodie site www.portlandpsst.blogspot.com.
