Abstract

"What's in a Picture?" piece on Eastman Park in Saco, where in 1912, local photographer Charles E. Moody took a picture of racer Joseph Newell warming up his pacer. The site was one of many such impromptu racecourses that sprang up in Maine cities and towns during the winter.
