Abstract

Jane Lamb, who began teaching at Flagstaff High School in 1947, recalls her time there before the entire town was flooded, becoming Flagstaff Lake, so that Central Maine Power could generate hydroelectricity downstream. October 21, 1949, marks the sixtieth anniversary of the last postmarked piece of mail from the town.
