Abstract

Taste test reviews of the many hot sauces made in Maine, including: W.O. Hesperus Captain Mowatt's sauces, Nogginflogger from Cumberland, Tiger Teeth from Biddeford, and Lost Woods from Buxton. Types of sauces reviewed include: sweet & spicy, all-purpose, spicy barbecue, super hot, and specialty sauces. For four years running, the best hot sauce at the Cajun Hot Sauce Festival in New Iberia, Louisiana has been Captain Mowatt's Canceaux Sauce.
