Several camps in the northern part of the state still harvest their own ice, including Bradford Camps, Cobb’s Pierce Pond Camps, and Libby Camps. Includes a brief history of the ice harvesting industry which, before the advent of refrigeration, was a booming business that employed thousands of men. With a sidebar about the Thompson Ice House museum in South Bristol.
