Abstract

Talk of Maine” piece about how Maine has been slow to adopt a bike-friendly culture. Despite the fact that road biking is increasing in popularity, drivers are often hostile to cyclists sharing the road, and many towns have insufficient paving budgets. Looks at the role the Bicycle Coalition of Maine plays in improving safety conditions for both cyclists and motorists.
