Abstract

In 1997, when the Casco Bay Bridge opened and the resulting traffic pattern went around the Knightville area instead of through it, South Portland began to reclaim its neighborhoods through city planning and revitalization efforts. The result is that it is a much for affordable city than Portland, and has restaurants, boutiques and services that are within walking distances from one’s home. [images]
