Abstract
The Appalachian Trail has seen more elite runners attempting to set record times or FKTs (faster known time) in supported thru-trail hiking in recent years. Runners attempting it and having accomplished it are Scott Jurek, Nadia “Nate” Stanis, Nathan Conroy, Drew Burnett, and elite thru-hiker Pharr Davis. [illustration]
