Abstract
Two thousand fifteen marks the ninth Portland Museum of Art Biennial, and it will diverge from previous biennials in that it will be curated by a single steward rather than juried by a panel of independent judges. While Maine as place is still an important element in the work that will be shown, the exhibition more reflects the creative process of the artists' works.
