Abstract

Detailed profile of Carl Sprinchorn (1887-1971), who painted, worked, and lived in the North Woods. He was one of very few serious artists to concentrate on interior Maine, and his mentor was Robert Henri. Christopher Huntington and Charlotte McGill, of Nova Scotia, run the Carl Sprinchorn Admiration Society.
