Best Places to Live in Maine: Sweet '16
Down East staff selected 16 of their favorite towns, based upon objective and subjective criteria, and asked readers to vote from that list, in a four round elimination, their favorite place to live. The resulting eight towns are featured, Rangeley (winner), Chebeague Island, Cornish, Damariscotta, Belfast, Bethel, Lubec, and Cape Elizabeth. Included is population, median household income, percent of families below poverty level, median home sale, median age, and a summary of what makes the town so attractive to live in. [images]
