Abstract

While Airbnb's have made traveling more affordable for many travelers, they are often in competition with traditional bed and breakfast accommodations. The article reviews how some Maine towns and areas are responding, from local regulation and enforcement issues in towns where the there are more conflicts, to non-regulation in areas that do not have the number of visitors that would support hotels and inns.
