Abstract

Although Cranberry Island residents support the Northeast Harbor economy by using its mainland businesses for virtually every commercial need, the Northeast Harbor tourist boom has made mainland parking more valuable, displacing many summer island residents from the spots they use when taking the passengers-only ferry.
